Roberta “Robbi“ Rossi

40 years of experience in the energy industry, acquired both from industry and Houston’s largest and most respected law firms. Robbi began her legal career as a corporate finance lawyer at Fulbright & Jaworski (now Norton Rose) and has recently served as a member of King & Spalding’s Global Transactions Team. Her unique value, however, comes from her many years actually spent on trading room floors and in refineries and gas processing plants. Her clients are commodity traders, schedulers, plant managers, environmental managers, trading desks, directors of business development and marine and transportation managers. Robbi not only knows the law, but more importantly, she knows the industry and understands it unique culture.

Ms. Rossi was General Counsel of Orion Refining Company, where she was responsible for all legal aspects related to the operation of a heavy crude oil refinery in Norco, Louisiana and the eventual sale of the facilities in 2003. In addition, prior thereto, Ms. Rossi served as General Counsel of Valero Energy Corporation’s refining division. Responsibilities during such tenure included all legal work related to unit expansions and upgrades through both conventional lending and project financing; preparation of templates for the marketing and trading of all feedstock and products; supervision of environmental matters; and the purchase and sale of refining and natural gas assets, including pipelines, refineries, natural gas processing plants, and fractionation facilities.
